Krabi weekend market, Thailand

Krabi weekend market, Thailand

We could probably not say it too many times. But we love markets.

Krabi is a mecca for markets and the weekend market is one of the best in the region attracting numerous of tourists and locals.

The main market is the Krabi weekend market which is also the biggest one. The main events on the weekend market is food. Food everywhere and it is cheap. Fresh fruit juices, Pad Thai, meat on a stick, coconut ice cream, meringue crepes, sweet peanut soup, seafood, cakes, and drinks in bamboo shot glasses. Everything is possible at the weekend market. There is usually also some sort of live entertainment on stage with traditional dancing, give aways or karaoke sessions where you can enjoy the show with your happily invested 40 Baht dinner.

There are also other things to purchase at the weekend market of course. The traditional handbags, jewelry, art and sandals are spread out for shoppers to indulge in. All at reasonable prices.

We recommend that you try the meat on sticks and the chicken kebabs they are amazing.

You can find the weekend market at Soi 8 road Friday to Sunday between 17-22. Don’t miss out!
